My story begins in San Jose, Costa Rica, where I was born and raised until the age of thirteen, when my family moved to Vancouver, Canada. I attended university in Seattle, WA, and finally settled down in Louisville, CO where I live with my spouse and two children. My life has been that of a global nomad, having lived most of my life abroad and traveling to almost 40 countries and counting. My ideal day includes coffee, a great novel, a long hike with a friend, and a laughter-filled dinner with the people I love. I enjoy adventure and grand stories, but most of all I love connecting deeply with others.
Becoming a therapist has been a profoundly personal and sacred journey. Though I now sit in the therapist chair, I consider myself a fellow traveler with my clients on the road towards healing. I offer myself as a “wounded healer,” or one who is familiar with the deep darkness of anxiety and depression, the bewilderment of transitioning in and out of worlds, belonging nowhere and everywhere. I have experienced transformation in my own life through counseling, spirituality, and relationships. It is my life’s honor to facilitate healing for others in the context of therapy. I look forward to connecting with you!
